Remember echochrome; Sony’s minimalist, perspective-bending puzzler for the PSP? Well it’s soon to get a stablemate in the form of echoshift, a new title that introduces the challenge of playing with your past actions in order to succeed.
As you move through each of echoshift’s 56 levels the game will record your actions then reproduces these as an “echos” the next time you play. You can then use your echos to your advantage by cooperating with them to beat the over 30 different puzzle types featured in the game.
echoshift is set to feature eight themed worlds and three different game modes - “Cast” which challenges you to reach the level’s exit within the time limit, “Key” where you also need to find a key to open the exit door, and “Illusion” mode, in which you’ll be able to stop the time briefly causing your echos to freeze.
There are also more levels promised later via DLC and a free demo of the game that will be releasing on PSN in February.
